Is it normal for women/girls to go from normal to a total bitch without knowing it? I have a twin sister and we both tend to turn sour around that time of the month. I never notice when I do it, but I definitley notice her personality flip right before and during our periods. Is there something we can do to calm the raging sea of hormones so we don't fight so much and not be at each others' throats 24/7? Are there vitamins we can take, exercizes we can do, or something that will help us calm ourselves without doing anything drastic like birth control? Help!
Thanks, unknowing multiple personality sufferer |

Thank you for your interesting question. It is common for women to have problems in the time leading up to periods. Some women have had their prison sentences reduced by being able to provide evidence that they committed a crime at this time. The problem comes under the medical term PMS - pre menstrual syndrome. You will find the information you need on http://www.2womenshealth.com./PMS-Pr...l-Syndrome.htm We would be interested to hear if treatment helps you both. Kindest regards David A Viniker MD FRCOG
