Synthetic hormone replicas:

  • Recombinant FSH (used for infertility (Q10.15).
  • Synthetic agents that are similar to natural hormones:
  • The progestogens dydrogesterone and medroxyprogesterone acetate (Q 24.17B).
  • GnRH agonists (Q 24.17E).
  • Agents that have part of their structure resembling that of a natural hormone:
  • Clomifene (clomiphene citrate).
  • Danazol (menorrhagia - heavy periods).
